If you watch baseball, you may have seen a player with what looked like a funny hat on the pitcher's mound over the weekend. However, not only is that hat a safety device, it's also going to make history.

Alex Torres was the man wearing the new hat on Saturday night for his own protection. The Padres reliever was wearing what's called an Isoblox hat.
