Here in Western New York, we have a lot of awesome local restaurants and bars, that serve up the best of the best when it comes to cuisine. Buffalo is not exactly the national chain restaurant kind of town -- just ask Pizza Hut and Krispy Kreme.

However, it's always cool when chain restaurants come here and open up in Western New York.

The most famous recent example of this is when Chick-fil-A opened on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga a few years ago, and was soon followed by another location at the corner of Transit and Losson Road in front of the Wegmans in Cheektowaga.

Get ready for another restaurant chain that will soon be coming to the northtowns, and it's one of the fastest-growing chains in America.

Buffalo Business First is reporting that BB.Q Chicken is opening up an Amherst, NY location. It will be at 1400 Millersport Highway, inside the Triad Apartment building.

BB.Q Chicken was founded in the mid-90s and has over 4,100 locations worldwide, with over 100 current locations in development here in the United States. They serve up Korean Barbecue and many variations of fried chicken. They also serve up dishes such as fried rice and fried dumplings.

This new location will be very close to UB's North Campus and will most likely be a very popular place for college students to get food when they open.

This kind of food sounds right up my alley, so I'm pretty excited about it.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
