Soon man's best friend might be able to travel to the other side with its owner.

Lawmakers in Albany have moved one step closer by giving approval to a bill that would allow the cremated remains of family pets (domesticated and tamed to live with people) to be buried along with their owners. Cemeteries have been receiving increasing requests to be able to include their pets remains with them in their grave. It should be noted that this bill would give the cemetery the OPTION to allow this and will not force the cemetery if they wish not to allow it.

With the bill being passed by the senate and now the assembly all that remains is the signature from Governor Andrew Como. Como has not committed to signing or not signing the bill, only that it will be reviewed.

What are your thoughts? Is something you could see yourself doing?
