The Buffalo Bills are preparing to play the New York Jets next Sunday in the Meadowlands, but one more game had to be played in week 9: Monday Night Football between the Chicago Bears and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The first half of the game was pretty uneventful, but it's what happened towards the end of the game that has fans across the NFL enraged. Rightfully so.

The Steelers were beating the Bears 23-20 with just over four minutes left in regulation. That's when Bears linebacker Cassius Marsh sacked Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to bring up 4th and long.

Marsh celebrated by looking towards the sideline, and then jogged back to the Bears sideline. That's when he "bumped" into head referee Tony Corrente. Corrente threw a flag and called Marsh for a personal foul and the Steelers got a first down to extend their lead.
But if you look at the replay, Corrente pretty clearly backed into Marsh and sure looks like he did so on be the judge.

Corrente was obviously scrutinized after the game, and did have comments about the incident.

Corrente claims the flag was due to Marsh, in his eyes, taunting the Steelers sideline after he looked at them. Corrente says the contact had nothing to do with the flag...

The flag was thrown immediately after he backed into Marsh though, which is on camera, so there's no debating that. Even if the penalty is for looking at the sideline, the fact that can be the difference in who win an NFL game is a bit ridiculous.

If this had happened to the Bills, we would all be livid and I can only imagine what fans would be saying today. By the way, the Bears ended up losing, 29-27.
