The last few weeks of super-hot summer weather have driven all sorts of people outside to explore everything that Western New York and Southern Ontario have to offer. With plenty of great things to do all around the 716, 585, 905, and 416, it doesn't really matter what you like to do. You can find something for every speed that will keep you occupied for the rest of the summer.

If you're looking for something for the family, you can find it; if you're looking for excitement, you can see that, and if you're looking for something more chill, you can find that as well.

I'm one of those people who want to do it all. From taking a hike, hopping on a bike, doing some sightseeing, or just hanging out, I'm with it and love exploring the Golden Horseshoe.

Go Deep Down Inside The Niagara Power Tunnel In Niagara Falls, Ontario

I've alwasy been a huge history buff and a fan off things Western New York and Souther Ontario, especially our history of generating clearn renewable energy.

If you've never seen it before, then you need to take a trip down more than 180 feet underneath the Niagara Parks Power Station in Niagara Falls, Ontario, you will find something that most people have never seen: a more than 2,000-foot-long tunnel that's been dug in the Niagara River Gorge that will truly blow your mind.

The Tunnel At The Niagara Parks Power Station used to be part of the system that Ontario used to generate hydropower for the Southern Ontario region. This particular tunnel was where water was used to exit the plant after it turned large hydroelectric turbines to generate power.

After you take an elevator down and walk out of the tunnel, you will find yourself facing the mighty Niagara Falls, and the viewing platform will give you a view that has only been seen by a limited number of people.

This is just one of a few great things to do in Niagara Falls. I got a chance to check out the tunnel a few times since it opened, and it's amazingly mind-blowing. Next time you hop over the border, go check it out.

You can find out more information about The Tunnel here on the Niagara Parks website.
