Officially, the beluga whales and dolphins are almost set to leave Niagara Falls and come to new aquariums in the United States. Marineland in Ontario has been quite the center of a controversial animal crisis in the past year.

The amusement park had shut down and the park did not know what to do with the remaining animals in the park. Marineland threatened that if the Canadian government did not help that they would have to euthanize the animals. Now, a judge has released some information as to what is going to happen next. The judge, who posted below, said that there was a meeting with Marineland and that once they get more information to the judge, she will sign the permit in order to get the animals transferred.

There are 30 beluga whales and 4 dolphins that need to be moved.

When are the beluga whales going to be transferred from MarineLand?

They will be moved and split up to different aquariums and it will hopefully happen by Spring.

Where are the beluga whales and dolphins going to go in the United States?

Once the dolphins and the beluga whales are transferred across the border, they will at least be split up and go to the Chicago and Atlanta Aquariums, two of the biggest aquariums in the United States. In fact, in Atlanta, the Georgia Aquarium is the biggest in the United States and biggest in North America. How big is the Georgia Aquarium? HUGE. It holds 11 million gallons of water. At the time that it opened in 2005, it was the largest aquarium in the world.
