Thief Steals License Plate off Police Car – Dumb Criminal File

Police in New York City arrested a woman on theft charges after she was caught in the act.  At the time police were trying to quiet down a rowdy crowd when they were notified a woman had stolen the license plate off of their police car. 

A witness pointed out 53-year old Beryl Duncan as the one who had taken the plate and put it down her pants.  When police asked her about it she said the license plate had fallen off and she was just holding on to it for them.  Would you believe her?  Neither did the police.  She was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny.
