NY State Police Cracking Down On Speed This Week
This is the time of the year perhaps that you will be on the road more often. Road trips? Headed to the beach or to hang out with friends? The New York State Police will be on the lookout for a specific type of driver.
The "Speed Week" campaign begins today and runs through Wednesday, June 17th.
Troopers are also going to make sure people aren't traveling too fast through highway construction work zones.
It is an old joke. It's funny because it's true. There are two seasons in Western New York; Winter and road construction. You are going to see more and more workers around the clock not only on the major roads but the secondary routes. One of them is McKinley Parkway in Hamburg. The milling and paving project will officially begin on Monday June 15th.
It seems that the drivers have gotten a tad more aggressive during the pandemic for whatever reason. If you have seen it on the roads, perhaps you have asked the same question? "Where are you going in such a hurry?"
