When I was a kid, growing up in the late '90s, my family would take me to McDonald's from time to time.

Typically, it would be after a doctor's appointment after school or perhaps it was after a Saturday school class, with my dad and I splitting a 20 piece McNuggets meal that I would claim I could finish (and never could).

If you grew up in the '80s and '90s, then you know all about those nostalgic Halloween Happy Meal buckets (also called pails).

They technically lasted into the 2000s and went through some design changes, but the '80s and '90s versions were the ones that most remember. They were extremely popular and offer a ton of nostalgia for those in their 30's and 40's.

If you have been paying attention on social media over the last several weeks, you probably know about the rumors that McDonald's would be bringing back the Halloween Happy Meal buckets. Employee calendars that were leaked, seemed to let the cat out of the bag they would come back.

McDonald's has made it official.

The Halloween Happy Meal buckets are indeed coming back on October 18th, while supplies last.

This will be nationwide, so Western New York McDonald's should have them come October 18th.

I have a feeling that a ton of people will be flooding McDonald's that week, so it's probably smart to avoid lunch and dinner rush to get one.

I think I still have a ghost bucket from when I was a kid, somewhere in my storage...
