Make sure you bring your sombrero!

There is going to be a massive, outdoor tent this year for Cinco de Mayo in the suburbs! Every single year we all wonder where there is going to be the best spot for Cinco de Mayo in Western New York without going into the city. This year, there is going to be a big white party tent outside in Cheektowaga!

The Cinco de Mayo party tent will be at the corner of Transit and French Road in Cheektowaga. Have you been to Andale yet? It is the brand new restaurant that took over the old Pizza Hut & Wing Street in the old K-Mart Plaza.

Cinco de Mayo Party Tent

1402 French Road in Depew

11 AM - 2 AM

The party is starting super early. Things will kick off at 11 am with live music, drinks, and tacos, and is going all night long. There is no cover to get inside the tent.

What is Cinco de Mayo? What is the true meaning of Cinco de Mayo?

In America, it is widely believed that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's Independence Day, which is actually on September 16.

May fifth every year is celebrated because the Mexican Army pulled off a major victory over the French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza and it was very unlikely the Mexican Army could pull it off. So, when you're celebrating Cinco de Mayo today in downtown Buffalo you can ask people to buy you a shot if they don't know the real reason--sounds fair to us.
