And if you're thinking about breaking up with someone, research shows we wait two months before ending the relationship.

The Sun reports over half of people surveyed stay with their partners for two months before finally breaking up with them.

So why the wait?

"The study also found 43 percent have held off breaking up with someone because they didn’t want to hurt their feelings while 17 percent were afraid of being alone. But three in 10 simply didn’t know how to end it, with nearly a quarter afraid of how the other person would react and 15 percent needing time to plan the break-up," reports the Sun.
