It's no secret that we have the WORST potholes around town. It's like being on the Predator at Darien Lake sometimes and once in a while it will pop your tires.

Right now people use the 311 phone number in order to call in pothole reports and they keep track on all of the info on paper.

That new technology, which costs about $100,000, will keep is an asset management software who will be on a map and keep track of what treatments were used on what potholes. According to WGRZ, $450,000 is designated to road maintenance.

I think where it will be most effective is in finding, locating those locations where we're going back multiple times and getting them onto a different list where we can address them as a spot repair. So that our crews aren't doing the same locations multiple times" said  Commissioner of Public Works Michael Finn.
