POV Massive Forest Fire In New York State [WATCH]
The dry fall weather has been anything but great for some areas of New York State as fires raged and smoke billowed high above towns and villages.
November is reaching the halfway point and ordinarily we would be looking ahead to Thanksgiving, travel and snow! However, there is hardly any precipitation in the forecast and we are seeing serious drought conditions.
Not only have the flames been a danger to property, the smoke has also forced New York State to issue various air quality alerts.

Recently, New York State Governor, Kathy Hochul, posted a video on "X", formerly Twitter, of what it looks like when you are in a forest fire.
"This was the sight in Greenwood Lake in Orange County on Sunday.
One spark can start a blaze, and it's why a burn ban is now in effect for New York State".
Be smart this fall and if you are heading to hunting camp this week, keep an eye on the sparks from the fire in your cabin. There are reports that lake effect snow is on the horizon and perhaps that moisture will help other portions of the state.
