I waited tables a time or two in my day. People went to restaurants so they didn't have to deal with the hassle of eating at home and so that someone else could wait on them and fetch their needs.

Now, you can walk into some restaurants, and you may see some devices that are nearly replacing the server, such as LED screens that allow you to order your drinks and food, request items and even pay your bill.

Check out what Pizza Hut is doing now! (But, really, how cool is this?)

Convenient? Yes, but is that the experience you want?

How do you tip your server then? Do you even have to?

It would be interesting to see someone's response that waits tables versus someone who never has.
