Willie Nelson - He enrolled in the US Air Force in 1950, but was medically discharged due to back problems after just nine months.

Kris Kristofferson - He was an Army helicopter pilot in 1960. Plus his dad was a U.S. Army Air Corps officer.

George Strait - The man with 60 #1 hits also served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1975.

George Jones - He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served during the Korean War. He was stationed in California and never saw action overseas.

Craig Morgan - He spent 17 years in the Army and Army Reserves.

James Otto - He spent 2 years in the Navy. His dad also served in the Army for 23 years.

Jamey Johnson - He served in the U.S. Marines.
