The money is going to be used to make sure that there is less pollution.

People are ticked that the sewer tax is going up again. In Buffalo, "The new rate increase will fund required improvements to comply with regulatory mandates from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to further reduce pollution in the Niagara and Buffalo Rivers, Cazenovia and Scajaquada Creeks, and Black Rock Canal", according to WKBW.

People aren't happy because the sewer tax rate has gone up multiple times in recent years.

What is the price going up to?

An increase of $5 per month based on homes with an assessed value of $100,000.

What if you cannot afford to pay the increase of at least 5 bucks? What if it is already too hard for you to pay your bill and are struggling?
