It seemed to take forever for Western New York to get its own Shake Shack location. Now we've got one, and they're already going to be opening another one.

Although they started out as a hot dog cart almost 25 years ago in 2001, it was just in May of this year that Shake Shack opened its first location here in Western New York. They held the Grand Opening for that location on May 21, 2025 at 1531 Niagara Falls Blvd, Ste 300, Buffalo, NY.

Now, they're planning their second location.

Where will Shake Shack's second location be?

According to WGRZ, Shake Shack has signed an agreement to take over 5205 Transit Road in Clarence. Up until this past weekend, that was the home of Spot Coffee in Clarence.

There is no word at this time when they will open.

What is Shake Shack?

Shake Shack is known as a fast casual restaurant that features things like gourmet burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, and a large variety of milk shakes.

While many fast food places have shakes like chocolate and vanilla, Shake Shack offers flavors like Oreo Cookie Funnel Cake, Banana Pudding, Campfire Smores, and more.

This will technically be their second full-service location, but their third location in Western New York. They've also got what they consider a "limited-service" location at the Angola rest stop on the New York State Thruway. It's one of their over 255 locations across the country.
