Should I tip them?  How many times have you found yourself in this situation.  Someone delivers something to you or provides you with a service and you have to ask someone, "should I tip them?"  Ranker has put together a list for you to help make this decision a little easier.

Everyone knows you should tip a waiter/waitress, and a bartender, but what about the delivery guy?  What about a plumber or an electrician?  Here is the top ten list of people that you SHOULD tip:

  1. Delivery person if you live somewhere tricky
  2. Efficient movers
  3. Nursing home staff who run errands
  4. Grocery store bagger who helps you to your car
  5. Hotel maids
  6. Furniture Deliverers (Esp. if the Item Is Bulky/ Awkward) - I've been this person...you really should tip these people!
  7. Dog Groomer
  8. Courtesy Shuttle Driver
  9. Enthusiastic Tour Guides
  10. Coat Room Attendants

And now the list of people (according to Ranker - don't get mad a me) that don't deserve a tip:

  1. Bartenders Who Ignore You to Talk to Their Friends
  2. Anyone Who Comments on the Tip Amount
  3. Servers Who Hit on Your Significant Other
  4. Nail Salon Employees Who Talk Crap About You
  5. Bartenders Who Won't Look at You
  6. Unpleasant Baristas
  7. A Stylist That Messes up Your Haircut
  8. The Plumber That Leaves a Mess
  9. Rude Flight Attendants
  10. The Cashier When You're Picking up Takeout

My thought on it is if someone is providing a service for you so that you don't have to do it and they exceed your expectations, you should tip them.  If they go above and beyond, they should get something extra for it.  It doesn't always have to be a huge amount but something extra goes a long way to say thanks.
