REPORT: Stefon Diggs Could Seek Trade Anywhere – Except Here

More info is coming out about what went down with the Stefon Diggs trade including the one team that they wouldn't allow him to go to.

Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans earlier this week in a move that completely shocked Bills Mafia.  While many were shocked, as we get a little further from the actual trade, and more information becomes available it appears as there was a lot more to this than we knew.

Stefon Diggs was allowed to seek a trade with anyone exept this team

It appears as though this trade has been in the works for quite awhile now.  One of Diggs newest teammates tweeted that he had asked for a trade a couple of weeks ago and that he finally got his wish.

So if he was allowed to seek a trade, did the Bills have any restrictions?

According to Chris Simms, there was only one team where they wouldn't allow him to go.  That team was the Kansas City Chiefs.

Diggs still went to a conference rival

So the Bills were able to keep him away from the Chiefs (for now - more on that in just a bit) but they allowed him to go to another AFC team that is showing a lot of promise.  The Houston Texans have a phenomenal rookie quarterback that led them into the playoffs last year, and has become a favorite to go even further this year.  Now with a proven veteran receiver, they look pretty dangerous.  However, the question is whether or not Diggs still has much in the tank.  His production definitely dropped with the Bills at the end of the 2023 season, but is that because of Diggs or because of other factors?

Diggs could end up with the Chiefs soon enough anyway

The Houston Texans offered Diggs a deal and wiped out the 3 remaining years on his contract after this year.  So he will become a free agent after this season and will be free to sign with any team that will take him next year.  Does that mean we might see Diggs in red and yellow in 2025?  Will it make a difference?  You sure?
