Summer Weekend Activities!
I love the Summer! Warm days, Sunshine, and so many events happening every day that you barely get a moment to catch your breath! Seriously this is Buffalo so unfortunately that means with the passing days of summer winter is creeping in around the corner. Get out of the house then and enjoy every day of summer that we have!
There’s so much around town that I wanted to mention just a few. Today and tomorrow is the St. Martha Lawn Fete. This lawn fete is fantastic! Of course there will be tons of Midway rides for you to have fun on. Then of course after you’ll need fill up on all the fantastic food that they have there! Tomorrow they will be having a Chiavetta’s Barbeque even! Along with that they have a beer tent and pub that will be hosting a wide variety of live music and entertainment! St. Martha’s is located on French road in Depew.
Another great Lawn Fete that you should think about attending this weekend is the one at St. John Vianney in Orchard Park. This one is just as much fun as the other Lawn Fete. First of all this one will have some amazing food! You’ll get to pick from items like fish fry, spaghetti dinner, chicken barbeque and more! Along with that they will have daily entertainment in the beer tent with bands like Breakaway, Backbeat ’64, and definitely one of my favorites the Boys of Summer. Bonus about this lawn fete is this one has a nightly firework display for you to oh and ah over. St. John Vianney is located on Southwestern Blvd. in Orchard Park.
Once you’ve had tons of fun this weekend, make sure you spend the week getting ready for one of my favorite festivals of the year! Next weekend is the Eden Corn Festival! The festival kicks off on Thursday and runs all weekend long. You’ll get the chance to spend the weekend experiencing a wide variety of food – and I’m talking about DELICIOUS food! Along with that they have packed this festival full of family fun events! There will be midway rides, a tractor pull, square dancing, auto shows, live music, and that’s just the beginning of the list! The proceeds from this four-day community event is a major source of income for many non-profit charitable organizations and local businesses. It’s the Eden Corn Festival next weekend on Route 62 in the Town of Eden.
