The Buffalo Sabres have struck another trade deadline deal; trading away veteran Erik Johnson.

The Buffalo Sabres made a trade today with the Colorado Avalanche with hopes of beefing up their defense.

The Sabres were outshot 26-7 after two periods and with only six minutes left in the game they had managed only 9 shots on goal.

Colorado went 2 for 4 on the power play while the Sabres had seven opportunities with the man advantage and couldn't cash in

Amazing what happens when you score goals in the NHL. The Sabres did just that Tuesday night to win a game in Denver for the first time in 12 years.

The Buffalo Sabres wasted a golden opportunity to pick up valuable points against the worst team in the league.  The Sabres fell into a 3-0 hole in the first period and never recovered in a 5-3 against the Colorado Avalanche.

For the first time this month the Buffalo Sabres have back to back wins.  Sam Reinhart scored a power play goal early in the second period and the Sabres made it hold up until Evander Kane scored the clinching goal, his 19th of the season late in the third for a 2-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

Rare back to back wins at home for the Buffalo Sabres.  The Sabres built a 3-0 first period lead and held on until Marcus Folgino scored into an empty net late in the third to clinch a 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

The Buffalo Sabres, although not making the biggest of splashes in free agency, are making improvements to the roster little by little.  The team has made a real push at getting bigger and tougher for the upcoming season.  Earlier acquisitions included the mountainous John Scott, tough-guy Steve Ott and Adam Pardy.  The newest player to sign with the team is Kevin Porter.

For the second straight game the Buffalo Sabres gave up the tying goal in the closing seconds, but this time it cost them the game.  The Colorado Avalanche pulled their goaltender for an extra skater with 1:30 left to play and the Avs needed almost all of it to finally break thru with the tying goal, scoring with just 1.9 seconds left in the third period.   After a scoreless overtime, the Avs won
