Who would wear the coveted C this year for the Buffalo Sabres? It's been on many Sabres fans' minds. That was revealed today and the answer is - nobody.

On Wednesday night in their final home game of the season the Buffalo Sabres put in a much better effort than the abysmal performance two nights before.  And again the Sabres proved when they put their minds to it and play for an entire 60 minutes than they can compete and beat some of the best teams in the league.

Kyle Okposo scored a power play goal with 26 seconds left in overtime to give the Buffalo Sabres a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Friday night. It was the only time the Sabres led in the game.

The Buffalo Sabres have put together a modest two-game winning streak.  After blowing a 3-0 lead in Philadelphia and losing in a shoot out, then falling completely flat at home against Minnesota, the Sabres blanked Florida on Saturday afternoon then beat Winnipeg on the road on Sunday 3-1.
