Buffalo Sabres Tickets Are Insanely Low Right Now
The Buffalo Sabres did something last night they don't normally do...win a home game on a Tuesday night.
The Sabres has lost many games in a row on Tuesday nights at KeyBank Center, but snapped that streak by defeating the Los Angeles Kings 7-0.
Jordan Greenway scored twice and rookie Zach Benson scored what is the goal of the year in the second period. The win helped the Sabres climb to 50 points in the Eastern Conference, but still 10 points out of the final wild card spot. With only 30 games left, the chances of making the playoffs are slim.
If may have noticed that the crowds have been sparse at KeyBank Center, especially on weekdays. That's not the fault of the fans. The Sabres are now going on 14 straight seasons of zero postseason berths, fans deserve better than that. The price of NHL games and the product on the ice, it's no surprise it's been a struggle.
But even so, these are some cheap tickets. Check out how much some 300-level Sabres tickets are going for. This rivals the 2014-2015 teams.
You can get a ticket for just under $14...
Normally, tickets in the 300 level cost around $40-45 on Ticketmaster. Now, you can get them anywhere from $14-25 for seats.
The Sabres roster might look drastically different by March. The NHL trading deadline is Friday, March 8th at 3 pm.
Kyle Okposo, Erik Johnson, Victor Olofsson and Zemgus Girgensons could be dealt to contenders, who are looking to fill out their team for a playoff run. Then there's Casey Mittelstadt, who could be signed to a contract extension soon, but there has been trade rumors swirling with him.
