The Buffalo Sabres have put together a modest two-game winning streak.  After blowing a 3-0 lead in Philadelphia and losing in a shoot out, then falling completely flat at home against Minnesota, the Sabres blanked Florida on Saturday afternoon then beat Winnipeg on the road on Sunday 3-1.

Kyle Okposo scored a pair of goals sandwiched around a goal by Brian Gionta.  The Sabres led 3-0 entering the third period and for the second game in a row they played smart hockey with the lead.

Robin Lehner in goal for the Sabres made 37 saves.  The Sabres allowed the Jets six power play chances but killed off each of them.

The Sabres move on to play in Minnesota on Tuesday night.
