The San Francisco 49ers finally won their first game of the season on Sunday when they beat the New York Giants and one of the key plays in that victory came on an 83-yard touchdown catch by former Buffalo Bills receiver Marquise Goodwin.
The last time the Buffalo Bills scored 45 points or more in a game was back in 2010 when they put up 49 against a terrible Cincinnati Bengals team after trailing 31-14 at halftime. The Bills won that one 49-31. The last time the Bills scored 45 or more at home was back in 1991 when they beat Pittsburg 52-34.
For the second consecutive week the Bills defense embarrassed themselves. They gave up 580 yards to the Patriots last week and against the San Francisco 49ers they gave up more than 600 yards in a 45 to 3 loss. The Bills offense didn’t help either with a couple of turnovers that the 49ers cashed in on both times with touchdowns.
The participants in the 2011 pro-bowl have been announced and this year there were no Bills named to the roster. The Patriots and the 49ers lead the pack with 8 pro bowlers this year. Ray Lewis has once again been invited to play. This is his 12th trip to the all star game.
