We're four days now into NFL free agency. It's been a whirlwind to say the least.

The Buffalo Bills' cap situation has limited what the team can do, but they did make a few small moves this week.

Firstly, the Bills re-signed A.J. Epenesa, DaQuan Jones, Ty Johnson and Quintin Morris. They also signed few new free agents, such as wide receiver Mack Hollins and linebacker Nicholas Morrow.

Still, even with the limited cap room, it appears the Bills were in on another free agent. It's a high-profile free agent.

The San Francisco 49ers released veteran defensive tackle Arik Armstead on Wednesday, which was a cap room move. The 31-year-old player has been a huge part of the Niners defense over the years.

It was first reported that Armstead could be on the Bills' radar.

Then on Thursday, Diani Russini of The Athletic reported that the Bills had signed Armstead, only to delete it soon after. Instead, Armstead signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, which Ian Rapoport reported on at the same time.

Russini then said that her contact with the Bills said the deal was done, but the contact meant with Jacksonville.

This leads us to believe it came down to the Bills or Jags.

The money was amazing. Armstead got 3 years and $51 million from the Jags, despite his age and injury history. That is simply money the Bills did not have.

This could mean the Bills had more money to spend than we originally thought. Could it signal a move in the future?

The Bills biggest needs remain wide receiver, defensive line and safety.
