The 10 Most Downloaded Apps Of The Decade

Hard to believe but, the Apple App Store and Google Play both launched in 2008.  So in the 2010's we were downloading apps like crazy!  So what were we downloading?

The data for this survey came from app store intelligence firm App Annie.  It was based on the number of downloads from iOS and Google Play worldwide.

TechCrunch just released the 10 most downloaded apps and games downloaded worldwide in the past decade.  It's fair to say that Facebook dominated the top of the chart.  They stole the top 4 places on the list with (in order) Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram.

Snapchat was next on the list at #5.

YouTube

Twitter

I was surprised to see Skype still on that list considering the options that exist for video chatting these days.  Do you have those apps on your phone?  There's a good chance that you have some of them.
