Less than a month after going out of business, Bon-Ton has announced "we're back and we're here to stay."  A new company purchased Bon-Ton and will bring the department store chain back for on-line sales only.

The president of CSC Generation wrote on the company's website "we acquired the Bon-Ton for three primary reasons...the opportunity to rebuild an American icon, the love from customers, and a competent and loyal workforce."

"Our goal is to become your favorite retailer by offering better products, lower payments, and more services."  One of those new services is actually a service that dates back generations - layaway.  Make a down payment on an item and pay for it over a period of time.

Company president Jordan Volshin included a P.S. at the end of his letter to customers; "We are sprinting as fast as we can to rebuild the company. If you are a prospective vendor or employee that would like to see us succeed, please reach out. We need all the support we can get!"
