We may have found the most patriotic intersection in all of New York State and it is right on the Erie County and Cattaraugus County line.

As we get ready for the official start of summer here in Western New York, perhaps you are making plans for what you will be doing on Independence Day? The Fourth of July will be here soon and there is one place in the Arcade area that will catch your eye!

At the corner of Route 16 and Route 39 With a massive American flag and an enormous sign that reads: In God We Trust, this spot gave me chills as I rolled by.

We just observed the 80th "anniversary" of the invasion of Normandy, France also known as "D" Day, June 6th, 1944. Hearing and reading the stories of what the allied and American forces went through and their bravery is beyond impressive and I doubt there are any words that can show our gratitude.

But it is displays like this one in Arcade that remind me of the bravery and valor that our military exudes every day of the year. No matter what your political opinion might be, or which side of the aisle you align with, I think we can all agree that we are truly blessed to live in the greatest country in the world.
