Famous Buffalo Bar Shocks Customers; Announces Permanent Closure
The bar and restaurant scene in Buffalo is an embarrassment of riches. There are simply not enough words to describe how awesome the bars in Western New York are, and how important they are to the community.
Buffalo is one of the best cities in the country for an abundance of fantastic breweries; not only serving great craft beer but great food as well.
The brewery community in Buffalo is not a bitter rivalry. They all care about one another and wish for each other’s success.
Unfortunately, one famous Buffalo brewery has decided to close one of their two famous locations.
Thin Man Brewery announced on social media last night that they will be closing their Elmwood location.
In an Instagram post, Thin Man Brewery announced they will close their Elmwood taproom on Wednesday, July 12th. They will continue to operate their Chandler Street location.
Thin Man says the pandemic had a “lasting impact” on the craft brewery industry and with the ongoing challenges from that, they made the painful decision to close the Elmwood location.
Thin Man specializes in unique flavors, such as their Minkey Boodle, which is on tap or in a can at many other bars and restaurants in the Buffalo area.
It’s a shame that this has to happen. It’s the latest in the long line of restaurants and bars which have been forced to close, due to the economic impacts left by the COVID-19 pandemic, which began in March of 2020.
Go support Thin Man’s Chandler Street location if you can.
