Best Things To Do In Downtown Buffalo That Don’t Involve Drinking
Buffalo, New York is a great city with lots of great things to do.
Especially downtown, there are all sorts of great activities to engage in.
From nice restaurants and great bars to amazing architecture, lounges, and nightclubs, Buffalo really has a variety of things to do.
However, have you ever asked yourself how many of those great things can you engage in that don't actually involve drinking?
It was once said that Buffalo is a drinking town with a sports problem... Having lived in Buffalo, I can agree with that statement wholeheartedly. With a 4 am last-call at the bar, drinking-related activities abound everywhere.
But what is there to do if you want to remain 100% dry? Some folks on Reddit asked this exact same question, so here's a list of things that you can do in downtown Buffalo that don't involve drinking:
Throw Axes at Hatchets & Hops
While the name includes a key ingredient in beer, tossing some axes with some friends is a great activity. Just trade the beer for some loganberry and have a great night.
Get A Turkey at Spare Lanes
Who knew that there was an 8-lane full-size bowling alley right in downtown Buffalo? While there is a whole nightclub and full bar upstairs, you can have a double-water on the rocks while working towards bowling a 300.
Ride The Ferris Wheel at Riverworks
While Riverworks has a great bar, there are all types of non-alcohol-related activities to do, like the Buffal-“O” Ferris Wheel. What's more Buffalo than smelling some Cheerios while 105 feet above the Buffalo River while overlooking downtown Buffalo?!
Take a Cruise on Lake Erie Aboard the MoondanceCat
One of the best parts of living in Western New York is our direct access to the largest group of freshwater lakes on Earth. There are all sorts of boats that serve downtown Buffalo if you want to hop on the water, but one of the best ways to see it is on the 56' catamaran MoondanceCat.
Are there any other things that you can do in downtown that don't involve alcohol?
