The Buffalo Bills are in the midst of the 2021 preseason, after not having any preseason games a year ago.

The Bills played the Chicago Bears on Saturday afternoon at Soldier Field and once again, there were many starters that did not see the field, including starting quarterback Josh Allen and star wide receiver, Stefon Diggs.

There are some players that are impressing in both camp practices and the first two preseason games, but three players have many Bills fans talking.

One is rookie edge rusher, Gregory Rousseau, who had a sack against the Detroit Lions last weekend and against the Bears he caused pressures on Bears quarterback Andy Dalton.

Rousseau is considered a very talented edge rusher with ridiculous measurables and length, but his inexperience playing the position (just how long he's been playing it), including opting out of the 2020 college football season, had many considering him to be project of sorts.

But it's clear that Rousseau has what it takes to be a great edge rusher. Can he replicate this in the regular season? That's the question.

Another is third-year running back Devin Singletary.

Singletary had a 14-yard run for a touchdown to cap off the Bills opening drive and he looked sharp on other runs he had during the first quarter. It seems as if Singletary is motivated by the talk of free agent running back Matt Breida and second-year running back, Zack Moss.

Lastly, backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky looked extremely impressive in his second game for the Bills.

Going up against his former team, Trubisky only really had one bad pass and that was more of a miscommunication with wide receiver Jake Kumerow.

Trubisky looked confident and made passes all over the field, mostly to wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie. He capped off the second drive with a touchdown pass to Kumerow. Trubisky went 12-17 for 113 yards and a touchdown in his first two drives.

The first few series of the preseason game against the Bears showed that the Bills have very good depth and if called upon, players such as Trubisky, Kumerow, McKenzie and Singletary can carry the load if injuries bite the Bills roster.
