
You CANNOT Park at Site of the ‘Big Boy’ to in Western New York
The world's largest steam locomotive is passing through New York State the next couple of days as a commemorates the 250th birthday of America.
It is important to note that the only way that you can go see the big boy on Wednesday is by taking a shuttle.
Here is the schedule:
Tuesday morning: It will pass through Dunkirk, Fredonia, Lackawanna and more as it heads to Buffalo New York Tuesday morning.
Tuesday night: there's a private event for Norfolk Southern Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.
Wednesday morning and afternoon: from 9: 00 to 2: 30 the train is open to the public to go check out take some pictures as it stays stationary in the Norfolk Southern yard.
Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m.: it will leave and start heading toward Letchworth State Park around 12:30 p.m. or 1:00. The train will pass through Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Depew, Lancaster, Alden, Darien, Attica, and more.
You can only go see the train via shuttles that will be taking off from the Walden galleria Mall on the north side. The trains website specifically says there will be no parking or pedestrian access to walk up at the display site. No tickets are required.
It is important to note that everyone need to stay back at least 25 feet from the train tracks as it goes by.
