This is great news for people who are craving to see live music as soon as possible.

According to WIVB, the Transit Drive-In will be hosting their "Live at the Drive" concert series this summer, which will be social-distancing friendly.

The shows will be following CDC guidelines and subject for approval from local state and health officials.

"We are not attempting to replace Darien Lake, Canalside or Artpark as the premier outdoor concert venue," said the Transit Drive-In.

Once the normal concert venues reopen and resume normal operations, the drive-in will go back to being a place just for movies.

Buffalo Iron Works will be partnering along and released this batch of ticket information:

  • You must know before purchasing how many people will be in your vehicle and purchase according to the number of people.
  • If you arrive day-of-show with people in your vehicle that do not have a ticket, you will be turned away.
  • The ticketing platform will allow for 2-6 people per vehicle.

The first concert will feature Aqueous on June 19th and 20th, both starting at 2 p.m., with gates opening an hour before.

Tickets on sale today at 2 p.m. and general admission is $40, with $80 VIP per person. The VIP tickets offer spots in the first two rows and a poster.

This is such a great idea!
