It's the middle of winter and let's be honest, there really isn't too much to look at. However, one Western New Yorker spotted a breathtaking photo over the weekend.

According to WGRZ, Tony Woyshner captured a photo of two bald eagles standing in the snow in Hamburg. Check out the photo below.

My favorite part is both bald eagles are staring in opposite directions. Almost as if they're a crime duo who is investigating a case and being very observant!

I have never seen a bald eagle up close before in the wild. There's no doubt they're a cool animal and definitely worth a photo grab if you're lucky enough to see one somewhere in Western New York.

Perhaps we see more spottings shared as we go further into winter and into the spring. I recall a couple sightings of bald eagles in Western New York last March and April.
