This week's Basil Vehicles for Vets finalist was nominated by April LoTempio who tells us Air National Guardsman Brad Schumacher desperately needs to replace his 15-year old truck.  While his wife and unborn daughter recover from fetal surgery in Philadelphia, Brad continually makes the long commute to be by their side.  Once the baby is born, her condition will require ongoing trips for medical care.

Brad's 2000 Ford pick-up truck has 325,000 miles on it.  He can't replace it though because of the medical expenses and because of all the time he devotes to being with his wife and unborn daughter he's been forced to give up a second job.

After his daughter is born at the end of August the family will need to travel to Rochester or Syracuse for ongoing care.  There's no way they can continue to make these trips in their old truck.  A new vehicle will help to decrease the family stress and give them a little bit of a better life.

The Basil Family of Dealerships has partnered with the Veterans One Stop Center of Western New York for “Vehicles for Vets”; a summer long promotion in which a veteran or active serving military member can win a new vehicle!
