
Chicken Nugget Recall Impacts Shoppers Across Western New York
Attention all parents, if you have kids or you love dinosaur chicken nuggets yourself, you need to check your freezer ASAP. There has been a massive recall of dinosaur chicken nuggets sold at Walmart stores across New York State.
Walmart Dinosaur Chicken Nugget Recall
U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert earlier this week for dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets that were sold at Walmart stores across the country, including in New York State.
The recall was issued after a random test was conducted that showed some of the nuggets contained lead levels up to five times higher than what the FDA considers acceptable for children.
The recall impacts Great Value Fully Cooked Dino Shaped Chicken Breast Nuggets that have a best used by date of February 10th, 2027.
The lot number for the recalled nuggets is 0416DPO1215, and the nuggets were sold in a 29-ounce plastic bag containing approximately 36 nuggets
The bags also have an establishment number “P44164” printed on the back.
If you have one of these bags of nuggets, you can return it to any area Walmart store for a full refund.
The good news is that there have been no reported injuries or deaths linked to these chicken nuggets.
