Wal-Mart Hostage Video — Man Takes Toddler

Two weeks ago in Oklahoma City, a man took a 2 year old hostage at a local Wal-Mart.

Midwest City Police Assistant Chief Sid Porter says the child wasn't harmed in the incident on June 18. Police say Sammie Lamont Wallace took the 2-year-old girl out of her mother's shopping cart and held a knife to the child. Porter says the store was evacuated within minutes and police began negotiating with Wallace. Porter says an officer opened fire after Wallace began "counting down" on the girl's life.

Wallace, 37, who had no connection to the toddler or her mother, was shot by police and killed.
