Want To Bag A Buck? Try The Ocean

We've all heard some crazy fishing stories, but I'm going to take a guess that this is the craziest of them all.

What's the strangest thing you've ever caught while you were fishing?

If you're anything like me, you probably just catch a lot of seaweed and every now and then a sunfish.  But the fishermen on this lobster boat have a story that will be raising eyebrows forever.

Imagine you're on a lobster boat.  You're almost 5 miles away from the coast.  When you draw your nets up you find...a deer!

That's what happened to this crew just off the coast of Harrington, Maine.  Capt. Ren Dorr wrote on his facebook page that they found it, rescued it, and released it on the beach.

“Found this little guy 5 miles offshore today drifting farther away from land. Couldn’t let the poor guy suffer and drown so we brought him aboard and sailed him half hour to land and dropped him off on the beach! And sailed back out to haul!”

So maybe if you're having a hard time dropping one in the woods, you're just looking in the wrong place.  Maybe you need to try the ocean!
