With 100% of the precincts reporting, she was ahead of Byron Brown by over 1,500 votes as of Wednesday morning. She has the support of the democratic party now, but there are some absentee ballots that are still waiting to come in and be counted. Byron Brown was looking to serve for a fifth term in Buffalo, the longest a mayor has been in office in the Queen City.
The Buffalo News was reporting that current Buffalo Mayor, Byron Brown was considering being a write-in for the general election, according to WKBW.
If elected into the position in November, India Walton said that taxes WILL be going up by a half to one percent.
there will be some budget reallocations. We are spending about a third of our budget on policing and crime is not down-- so we are doing something wrong and we need to take a step back and look at how we're allocating funding", according to WKBW.
