Wendy Lynn Visits Amici Ristorante During Restaurant Week

It's Buffalo Restaurant week and many places around Western New York are participating by offering $20.18 specials. It's the perfect week to visit places you love and even try some brand new restaurants that you may not have ever visited before. I go out often, and one of my very favorites places to eat is Amici Ristorante at 2516 Elmwood Avenue in Kenmore.

I have my favorites at Amici like Ragu and the their stuffed pork chop, but honestly I've never been served anything Amici that I haven't absolutely loved. I wanted to share some of the highlights Amici is serving this week, April 16th through April 22nd for restaurant week. I stopped in recently to preview the specials featured during this week and give you a peek at Amici Ristorante. Chef Nino prepared three awesome dishes for me to sample. I loved all of them and I'm confident you will enjoy your visit to Amici.

The 3 dishes I previewed for Restaurant week were:

Veal Saltinbocca- Veal with prosciutto, asiago, sage and marsala wine sauce. Served with risotto.

Ragu - Braised Beef short rib with pasta, fresh herbs and Parmigiano

Gnocchi - Homemade gnocchi in a pesto cream sauce served with shrimp or chicken (I had the shrimp) and cherry tomatoes.
