Willie Nelson Was The First To Do This in Buffalo, New York
At 89 years old, Willie Nelson is coming to Buffalo in a massive country music festival and you HAVE to see who he is bringing with him!
Ok...we won't let you wait. ZZ Top will open along with a ton of new up and comers.
In fact, it's he will headline the Outlaw Music Festival as it travels throughout the United States, but he is only doing a handful of dates, so it is a real treat that the country music legend will be here in Western New York. The annual Outlaw Music Festival always features Willie Nelson & his Family Band as the headliner every summer, but the concert does not go to just every city. It is a short stint in the summer and we are lucky enough to have the show come here!

Now, Willie Nelson has a long history with Buffalo, New York. He was here all of the time back in the late 80's and 90's performing and visiting. Did you know that Willie Nelson was the first ever to do this in Buffalo?
Back in 1988 at Sahlen Field when it first opened (back then it was known as Pilot Field), the ballpark would host a summer concert series, and the first country music legend to was Eddie Rabbitt. But, the SECOND was Willie Nelson and he was the first to sell out Pilot Field.
It is unclear how many people were there back at the time, but you can bet that on June 17, 2022 there is going to be a sold-out WYRK Taste of Country returning to the old Pilot Field. Nearly 25,000 country music fans will be back to the field to see Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, Walker Hayes, and Thompson Square and you can win tickets to the sold-out show here!
