Wilson’s Hometown Hero Lee Harris
It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week. This week, our Hometown Hero from Wilson, NY is 46 year old Army Staff Sergeant Lee Harris!
Lee, like many of our other Hometown Heroes was one of those guys that joined the Army not long after graduation. He went on to complete his basic training at Ft. Dix, N.J.
His service in the Army has taken him many places including Kuwait, Bosnia, Germany, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan and also was at Gitmo. He was a Drill Sergeant at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. for two years but now he is currently stationed stateside. His nomination also mentioned that his service runs in the family as his son also currently serves.
We want to say thank you to Lee and his son for the time that they have put in to keep our country safe while serving in the United States Army. This week, we are proud to name him our Hometown Hero of the week!

Thanks once again to Staff Sergeant Lee Harris from the United States Army, our Hometown Hero of the week!
