You Can Enjoy A Socially Distanced Walk With A Llama At This WNY Farm
Feeling a little lonely and sick of the sights on your usual nature walks during this quarantine summer?
At Hemstreet Llamas in East Aurora, the answer to that question is: "No prob llama."
I found out about Hemstreet Llamas after a friend posted some great pics with her coronavirus-free fuzzy companions on social media.
With this summer being far different than any other due to cancellations and closures of some of the usual activities, now is a great time to try something new.
According to their Facebook page, if you want to visit the farm for a walk with a llama, you'll need to make a reservation first. To make one, call 716-545-5386 or email at mfsllamas@gmail.com. Walks cost $20 per llama companion.
Walks with the Hemstreet Llamas begin daily at 9 and 11 a.m., and in the afternoons at 1, 3, and 5 p.m. Visitors should plan up to 90 minutes for a walk with a llama (apparently, llama and human speeds may vary).
This looks like a unique, family-friendly animal encounter, and a great day trip for the family.
