A WNY Native Has Won His Ninth Game Of Jeopardy!

On Tuesday, Valeri Nolan of Tonawanda appeared on Jeopardy! but a fellow Western New York native was also appearing on the show. His name is Jason Zuffranieri, and he has now won nine games of Jeopardy!

His nine-day total has reached $233,243.

Zuffranieri doesn't live in WNY anymore but he says he still visits every other year.

According to WIVB, Zuffranieri has tried numerous times to appear on the popular game show.

“I took some online tests and passed those, but the first five times I tried out after the online thing, they would fly you in for an interview and they just said they didn’t want me. They had 400 other people they wanted, and finally, this time around, the sixth time was the charm,” Zuffranieri said. “And they gave me the call in March of 2019.”

So cool to have all these WNY natives appear on a network game show!
