Riley Green has won the award in advance of the Academy of Country Music Awards this Wednesday. Green has been working hard and has a new EP that is available. Riley Green also premiered “The Golden Saw Series”, a new virtual four-part series that airs bi-weekly from the hometown venue where Green’s musical career began.

Riley has a great story of how he got to where he is today. There may not be a more regular guy in country music these days. Green was framing houses just a few years ago and now has won a major award. In fact, according to his chat with us, his friends are still calling him to come to work with them!!

While he may not need to swing a hammer to make a living, Green still is as down to earth as it gets and would most likely rather be in the woods or a duck blind than trying to give and acceptance speech.

The Academy of Country Music Awards show will air in a virtual/live format from Nashville on Wednesday night on CBS. The Entertainer of the Year category is a tough call this time around. Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett have all had some great years!

Riley Green will perform his hit "I Wish Grandpas Never Died" on the show this Wednesday.
