All Of New York State Should Follow Greene County’s Lead
There is a great gesture that is about to take place in Greene County that more of New York State's counties may want to do as well.
There are few words that can express the gratitude that we have, as citizens of the United States, for the sacrifice and dedication that our nation's Veterans have shown. As we approach Veteran's Day, there are some things that we can do that at least shows our appreciation.

According to multiple reports, Greene County, in the Catskill New York area, is going to be doing a month long, lighted tribute to the heroes of this great nation.
In Greene County, all county buildings will be lit up in green over the next few weeks. Operation Green Light started in 2021 to raise awareness about the challenge veterans face on a daily basis.
The same is true for other counties in New York State.
In a post on "X", formerly Twitter, Albany County Executive, Dan McCoy notes that Operation Green Light "The initiative, led by the National Association of Counties (NACo), raises awareness around the unique challenges faced by many Veterans and the resources available at the county, state, and federal levels to assist Veterans and their families".
