Anchor Bar opened up a new location in New York City over the weekend, but the grand opening didn't go quite as planned.

How does something like this happen?  You open a restaurant that serves wings, but you are out by day two?  That's what happened as The Anchor Bar opened up in New York City over the weekend!

According to Eater NY, the iconic restaurant was opening up their latest location and spreading the joy of what the rest of the world calls "Buffalo Wings" (even though we just call them wings here in Buffalo).  And The Big Apple was so excited to buy them that the new restaurant was out by lunchtime on day 2!

People did what people do these days...they took to twitter to announce their frustration.

Wait...no beef on weck either??  Yup.  That happened.

The question is whether it was poor planning or if the demand was just that strong?

The good news is that there are actually 11 locations across the country that are an extension of the original that opened up in 1935.
