It's comfort food season.  When the weather is cold, you're looking for something to fill your belly and there's no better dish than chicken pot pie to do it.

Everyone loves chicken pot pie

When we were little, we used to eat these frozen pot pie dinners that would go into the oven and come out a day and a half later with frozen vegetables and gravy that would melt your face off.  They were cheap and they were easy to cook up (as long as you planned out an hour or so to bake them).  Honestly, they were a pain in the neck, but we still loved them.  Even as kids we would gobble them up.

But there are much better options available in Western New York than those things you get in the frozen section of the grocery store.

What is chicken pot pie?

Chicken pot pie is a dish that is exactly what it sounds like.  It's kind of like a chicken stew with pieces of chicken, gravy, and vegetables that are baked into a flaky, buttery crust.  If it's made right, it's like heaven on a plate.

Where can you get chicken pot pie in Western New York

As you can imagine, chicken pot pie isn't something that you find on a menu often.  To make them fresh can take hours and most people don't want to wait that long in a restaurant for that.  So they're kind of hard to have available for people to order and still have them come out fresh.

So where can you get them?
