Led by Molly Brinkworth for over three decades, early friends of The Old Pink know it by many nicknames, including “The Pink Flamingo,” “The Pink,” and others. On the surface, many people had a first impression of The Old Pink as being a place that is dark, dreary, and dingy. However, once neighbors got to know The Old Pink for what it really was, many people described it as a type of home.
“It was the first place you wanted to cheers while home on Thanksgiving, or the perfect spot to grab a steak sandwich on Christmas night,” Brinkworth’s daughter, Colleen Evans, said. “The place you could always count on to meet or make new friends, for all generations to enjoy.”
The Old Pink may have been characterized by these things, including its delicious steak sandwiches, but it really was a place for people to gather and come together as a unique blend of family.
